Section Manager - Bakery

Role Overview

Section Manager - Bakery at Majid Al Futtaim, Hypermarket Bahrain. The Section Manager is responsible for implementing quality, range and freshness standards of offered goods to attract customers in order to achieve the set sales targets and ensure exceptional customer service is delivered within the section.

Role Purpose

To maintain competitive advantage in the bakery section through active market monitoring, strategic pricing and promotions, optimized product assortment, and asset profitability, while delivering exceptional customer service to drive sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Competitive Strategy

• Monitor and report competitor activities, including prices, range, and promotional activities, to ensure competitive advantage.
• Stay informed about competition activities in the store's catchment area and take necessary measures.
• Support comparative studies within the section that can contribute to the efficiency of commercial concepts.

Commercial Operations

• Negotiate internal promotions with suppliers to enforce the image of discount inside the section.
• Oversee the establishment of a competitive assortment offer.
• Oversee commercial policy agreed for the store pricing.
• Oversee the products assortment in the section.

Asset Management

• Ensure the proper conservation, utilization and profitability of the department's assets.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
• 2+ years in Retail Business.
• 1+ year in an operations supervisory role.

Skills & Competencies

• Communication and presentation skills.
• Customer service orientation.
• Time management.
