Role Overview

Scenic Artist at Miral Destinations, supporting the Scenic Art Team at Miral Experiences Leisure Facilities.

Role Purpose

Ensure smooth and efficient operation of show sets and visual impact areas by carrying out corrective and preventative maintenance, repairs, and scenic work according to original design specifications and Company Core Process.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair

• Ensure all show sets are maintained in good condition as per the original design.
• Monitor day-to-day corrective maintenance of show sets, hardscape, visual impact areas, rides and attractions.
• Carry out regular reviews of the preventative maintenance program.
• Resolve any service delivery defects promptly.

Quality & Standards

• Review accuracy of checklists and records completed in the area and analyze findings.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and performance standards throughout assigned areas.
• Identify defects and communicate them clearly to management.
• Mix and match colors as needed for touch-ups and repairs.

Observation & Improvement

• Identify trends in maintenance issues and share observations and suggestions with the Manager.
• Contribute ideas on how to resolve identified defects.
• Evaluate work quality and accuracy across the area.

Team & Operations

• Participate in daily operations alongside colleagues, setting a positive example.
• Foster a harmonious atmosphere among colleagues in the area.
• Bring team members together through team activities.
• Support the Manager in all reasonable dealings as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or College Graduate.
• Two or more years' experience in one or more of the following: scenic painting, automotive spraying, air brush, mural painting, sculpting, fiberglass, cement rock carving, texturing, graphics application, vinyl installation, fiberglass layup and finishing, molding methods, cement mixing and carving, or basic carpentry.
• Experience in mural painting, air brushing, and scenic faux painting.
• Understanding of color theory and ability to color match by eye.
