SAP Technical/Functional, Consultant

Role Overview

SAP Technical/Functional Consultant at Masterworks, based at Client Site. The role is responsible for extracting data from SAP ECC and S/4HANA systems and integrating it into the Cloudera/HDFS data platform.

Role Purpose

Extract and integrate enterprise SAP data into a Cloudera/HDFS data platform using strong knowledge of SAP functional modules, SAP data structures, extraction methods, and enterprise data-engineering tools.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Data Extraction & Integration

• Extract data from SAP ECC and S/4HANA systems and load into Cloudera/HDFS.
• Handle delta and change data capture (CDC) loads from SAP.
• Apply hands-on experience with SAP extraction methods: SLT, ODP, BODS, or CDS views.

SAP Functional & Technical Knowledge

• Demonstrate strong functional knowledge of SAP MM, SD, and FI modules.
• Understand SAP data models, including transparent, cluster, and pool tables.
• Write and validate extraction queries using ABAP/Open SQL tools: SE16N, SQVI, and ABAP reports.

Data Pipeline Orchestration & ETL

• Orchestrate and schedule extraction and load pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Develop ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter/BDM with SAP connector experience.
• Transform and process data on Cloudera using Apache Spark/PySpark.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in SAP data extraction and integration.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA systems.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong functional knowledge of SAP MM, SD, and FI modules.
• Strong understanding of SAP data models, including transparent, cluster, and pool tables.
• Proficiency in ABAP and Open SQL.
• Experience with SAP extraction methods and delta/CDC loading processes.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter/BDM.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark/PySpark.
• Proficiency in Cloudera/HDFS.
