Role Purpose
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performing Salesforce solutions for clients. Operate as a player/coachโguiding development teams while actively participating in technical design, solution reviews, and delivery across the Salesforce ecosystem. Ensure all solutions meet both business and technical requirements while aligning with enterprise architecture standards.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Design and own end-to-end Salesforce architecture across Sales, Service, and industry-specific clouds.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and functional leads to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Evaluate and design integration patterns between Salesforce and external systems using APIs and middleware.
- Define API standards and data models to support a well-architected approach.
- Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture standards for scalability, security, and performance.
Technical Leadership & Mentoring
- Guide development teams through design reviews, best practices, and code quality oversight.
- Conduct code and design reviews to maintain quality standards.
- Mentor developers on Salesforce best practices and architectural principles.
Documentation & Communication
- Create and maintain technical documentation including Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), sequence diagrams, and architecture blueprints.
- Communicate solution choices clearly to both business and IT stakeholders.
Client Engagement & Pre-sales
- Work directly with clients to shape technical solutions aligned with business goals.
- Support pre-sales activities through solutioning, effort estimation, and architecture advisory.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of client-facing consulting experience with a focus on Salesforce architecture and solution design.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Experience working within cross-functional project teams to understand requirements and deliver secure, scalable solutions.
- Experience working in Agile project methodologies, including estimation and planning across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated experience designing scalable integration patterns with external systems.
- Preferred experience with Data Cloud, Field Service, or Revenue Cloud.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platform limits, security model, deployment architecture, and performance considerations.
- Strong background in integration approaches including RESTful APIs, middleware platforms, and batch/real-time interfaces.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Salesforce release strategies.
- Strong system documentation skills (ERDs, process flows, sequence diagrams).
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Skilled in guiding and mentoring developers.
Certifications
- Salesforce Sales Cloud Certification (required).
- Salesforce Service Cloud Certification (required).
- Salesforce Agentforce Certification (required).
- One or more Salesforce Architect domain certifications, such as Application Architect or System Architect (required).
