Sales Associate

Role Overview

Sales Associate at Apparel Group. The position is responsible for representing the brand by maximizing and contributing to sales within the store through exceptional customer service and retail experience.

Role Purpose

Deliver outstanding customer service and operational excellence to drive store sales, maintain visual merchandising standards, and ensure efficient point-of-sale operations while upholding brand representation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet customers and assist them in selecting the right product.
• Convert window shoppers to ultimate buyers.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program for repeat sales.
• Serve customers with the highest standards following the company selling guideline: GUEST (Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank).
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge across the various brands of the group for suggestive selling.

Merchandising & Visual Presentation

• Ensure all stock is laid out and displayed to attract customers and according to standard layout norms.
• Follow all visual merchandising guidelines and maintain stock norms on clearance items.
• Record inventory inward and outward movements and maintain reports.
• Ensure minimal stock loss through diligent product knowledge and oversight.

Point of Sale & Cash Handling

• Handle the POS (Point of Sale) billing counter efficiently.
• Tally money in the cash till at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change to customers correctly.
• Process payments by cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.

Store Operations & Compliance

• Perform various operational duties such as store maintenance as assigned by the store manager or assistant store manager.
• Work flexible and extended hours during sale periods and varied shifts as per business requirement.
• Ensure awareness and vigilance of store security at all times without negligence.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and loss prevention policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of sales figures to outside parties.
