Rubber Lining Technician

Role Overview

Rubber Lining Technician at Galadari Brothers. This position involves the application and maintenance of rubber linings in industrial vessels and equipment.

Role Purpose

To line the interior of tanks, valves, pipes, and similar articles with rubber sheeting to prevent corrosion, minimize contamination, and reduce shock, ignition, or explosion hazards to contents.

Key Responsibilities

Rubber Lining Application

• Line interior of tanks, valves, pipes, and similar articles with rubber sheeting.
• Inject compressed air into vessels to bond lining to vessel walls.
• Introduce live steam or place articles in autoclave to vulcanize rubber lining.

Surface Preparation

• Prepare vessels for application of lining by sandblasting, scraping, or painting interior surfaces.

Quality Testing

• Test lining for holes and faulty seams using devices that create spark on contact with metal vessels through apertures in rubber.

Installation & Site Work

• Visit equipment sites to install linings.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Certificate or Technical Certificate in Rubber Lining or related course.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in rubber lining operations.

Skills & Competencies

• Good technical knowledge of operator rubber lining plant.
