RPA Mx Munitions Tech I/Deployment Pool (K)

Role Overview

RPA Mx Munitions Tech I/Deployment Pool (K) with Amentum. Employee will be part of the Deployment Pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations as required. This position requires flexibility in support of assigned deployment and work schedules.

Role Purpose

Provide munitions and weapons maintenance, modification, and technical support for Reaper Series RPA aircraft armament systems. Perform installation, repair, inspection, demilitarization, and quality assurance of munitions, ammunition, explosive components, and related support equipment to ensure availability and serviceability in support of customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Aircraft Armament Systems

• Perform installation, configuration changes, modification, repair, and adjustment of aircraft armament systems and components.
• Inspect bomb release systems and missile launchers to determine need for repair or destruction in support of Reaper Series RPA maintenance.

Munitions Handling & Processing

• Assemble, disassemble, renovate, transport, load, deactivate, modify, destroy, and handle munitions including missiles, precision, and gravity bombs.
• Perform maintenance modifications, destruction, and demilitarization of ammunition and explosive components.
• Conduct inspection, maintenance, and storage of munitions and support equipment.

Stock Control & Documentation

• Operate computer hardware and software utilities and manual records in order to perform stock control and accounting procedures.
• Perform Increment Monitor duties to include equipment and cargo preparation, documentation, and pallet build-up.
• Maintain hazardous cargo documentation.

Quality Assurance & Weapons Management

• Support quality assurance, compliance, continuity, and standardization of munitions programs.
• Provide technical inputs to management in matters of weapons management, inventory, maintenance, loading, and armament systems.
• Assist with availability and serviceability of munitions to support emerging and evolving customer requirements.

Training & Certification

• Attend weapons safety course, load certification, and related activities.
• Maintain weapons certification and currency.
• Achieve passing grade in all required courses and certifications for continued employment as needed.

Equipment Operations

• Inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.
• Support weapons loading and armament systems and related matters.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School diploma or completion of relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.
• Minimum one year of actual Aircraft Munitions/Weapons maintenance experience.
• Completed USAF Munitions/Weapons Tech School or DoD equivalent.
• Munitions/Weapons experience within the last 10 years (preferred).
• Associate degree in a relevant career field (preferred).
• RPA Deployment Experience (preferred).
• Prior experience as a Defense Contractor (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of technical publications related to aircraft maintenance.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and wear Military Issued Equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.

Additional Information

Security Clearance & Legal Requirements

• Must have held an Active Secret US Government Clearance within the last 12 months. US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Must be able to maintain required DoD security clearance commensurate with assigned duties during employment.
• Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date.

Documentation & Credentials

• Must have current and active State Issued Driver's License.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid flight-line Government Driver's License.
• Must have valid U.S. Passport with a minimum of two years remaining validity and at least two facing pairs (four total) of blank Visa pages.

Deployment & Health

• Must be able to deploy to forward locations in other countries as directed by the Government.
• Must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, including pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment.
• Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated with booster. Accommodations may be available under limited circumstances.
