Role Overview
Rotating Equipment Inspector at SGS, a global Testing, Inspection and Certification company, based on assignment at Saudi Aramco facilities and construction sites.

Role Purpose
Perform inspections, tests, and surveillance activities at manufacturing and construction facilities to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements and project specifications, while monitoring contractor quality systems and documenting all findings and non-conformances.
Key Responsibilities
Inspections and Testing
- Perform "Hold", "Witness" and "Surveillance" inspections and tests at manufacturing facilities or construction sites to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements and project specifications.
- Inspect material and equipment to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements for proper handling, storage and protection at Saudi Aramco facilities and construction sites.
- Witness on-site and off-site material and installation tests for compliance with Saudi Aramco standards.
Contractor Quality Oversight
- Monitor Contractor's Quality Systems, records and Quality Personnel for compliance with requirements.
- Review and evaluate the Contractor's Quality document submittals.
Reporting and Documentation
- Record legibly and accurately all controversial and non-complying construction practices, materials and equipment and report to supervisor detailed potential problems for early resolution.
- Write inspection reports and initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Worksheets (WSs) and Equipment Deficiency Reports (EDRs) as needed.
- Report findings in the required format.
Safety and Compliance
- Work safely during inspection activities and advise others to work safely.
- Maintain confidentiality requirements in each activity during the service period.
- Operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering in a respective inspection discipline with at least four (4) years of experience in the relevant inspection discipline, OR two (2) years of industrial or technical College Diploma plus a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant inspection experience.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or CSWIP Welding Inspector Certification required.
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of applicable international standards, including API 653 and API 510.
