Role Overview
Resident Engineer - Infrastructure at Egis Group in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. This is an on-site role serving as the primary technical authority and project representative for infrastructure development.

Role Purpose
Oversee all aspects of infrastructure development from planning through completion. Serve as the primary technical authority on-site, demonstrating strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to make decisive decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Site Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily construction activities and site operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Ensure adherence to local Saudi Arabian regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
Inspections & Documentation
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare comprehensive technical reports documenting progress, issues, and corrective actions.
- Maintain organized project records, including daily logs, test reports, and compliance documentation.
Schedule & Coordination
- Manage project schedules, timelines, and milestones while coordinating with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
Budget & Cost Management
- Monitor project budgets and costs, analyze variances, and implement cost control measures to maintain financial objectives.
Technical Review & Approval
- Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and construction methodologies prior to implementation.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and minimize delays.
Quality Assurance
- Coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the construction phase.
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate effectively with project management, clients, and regulatory authorities regarding project status and performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure or construction project management.
- Proven expertise in project management and construction management (PMCM) methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure development, construction practices, and technical specifications.
- Experience with budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes in construction.
- Ability to work effectively in a site-based environment and manage on-site teams.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in project management software and tools; AutoCAD experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex project data and develop effective solutions.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and sound judgment in making technical decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
