Role Overview

Repair and Maintenance Technician IV – Liner Hanger at Weatherford UAE. Role Purpose

The R&M Technician IV – Liner Hanger is responsible for maintaining liner hanger systems and associated downhole tools to reliable operational standards. The role works closely with workshop, quality, and operations teams to deliver equipment that meets company specifications and customer expectations for field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Repair and Maintenance

• Perform repair and maintenance activities on liner hanger systems and associated downhole tools.
• Conduct assembly, disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment according to company procedures.
• Diagnose equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.

Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure all maintenance records, inspection reports, and documentation are accurately completed.
• Maintain compliance with company quality, HSE, and operational standards.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

Inventory and Support

• Support inventory control and management of spare parts and consumables.
• Maintain workshop equipment and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

Continuous Improvement and Collaboration

• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support customer requirements and equipment readiness.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Repair & Maintenance, preferably with Liner Hanger systems, completion tools, or similar downhole oil & gas equipment.
• Experience in assembly, testing, inspection, and repair of oilfield equipment.
• Knowledge of industry standards, quality requirements, and HSE practices.
• Previous experience in an oil & gas service company environment is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance documentation systems.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of liner hanger systems and downhole oilfield equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and procedures.
• Familiarity with workshop tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
• Understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques.
