Relationship Manager - Chinese Segment

Role Overview

Relationship Manager – Chinese Segment at RAK BANK. This role is based in the United Arab Emirates and focuses on serving the Chinese-speaking segment of the bank's client base.

Role Purpose

Identify, market, and book new liability and transaction business accounts while ensuring robust portfolio growth, meeting financial targets, and maintaining compliance with the Bank's standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

• Identify, market, and book new liability and transaction business accounts.
• Grow the business by adding new business customers.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of Business Liability customers through low-cost transactional money.
• Meet financial targets.

Portfolio & Relationship Management

• Manage and grow a portfolio of Business Liability customers assigned to the role.
• Work closely with other units to maximize cross-sell opportunities.
• Provide and translate market feedback into product development and formulate innovative customer offerings.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the target market and their requirements to assist and guide the team to acquire and maintain quality and profitable relationships.

Client Service & Compliance

• Handle service requirements of all clients under the team to ensure client expectations are met through coordination with respective service and back-office teams.
• Ensure that clients conform to the Bank's compliance criteria.
• Ensure that processes and controls are adhered to as per the Bank's guidelines.
• Comply with both internal and regulatory requirements while onboarding clients.
• Resolve all SAS and Correspondent Bank queries in a timely manner as per department TAT.

Coordination & Communication

• Ensure effective coordination with peers and support staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• Mandarin speaking required.
• Over 10 years' experience in branch banking, operations, relationship management, or customer service, preferably in a similar HNWI relationship management role.
• In-depth knowledge of target market and their requirements.

Skills & Competencies

• HNWI Relationship Management skills.
• Good working knowledge of RAK BANK products.
