Quantity Surveyor

Role Purpose

The Quantity Surveyor will manage post-contract commercial administration on major projects, ensuring accurate cost reporting, contract compliance, and effective stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Contract Administration

• Manage re-measurement and interim and final account payment application assessments.
• Prepare monthly cost reports.
• Process variations and contractor claims.
• Administer Provisional Sums and Prime Costs.
• Manage Nominated Sub-Contractors.
• Oversee insurances and bonds management.
• Attend design and commercial meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognised university.
• Minimum 5 years post-degree relevant experience in contracts and commercial management.
• Experience in one of the following key sectors: High rise office or residential.
• Consultant and/or client background required.
• Previous experience of FIDIC Contracts preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in QS software Cost X or similar.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Good project background and proven technical writing ability in English.
