Quality Control Inspectors ( QCI ) - Civil

Role Purpose

To conduct comprehensive inspection and quality assurance of civil and structural works throughout construction phases, ensuring all materials, workmanship, and processes comply with approved specifications, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Verification

• Conduct inspection of civil and structural activities including excavation, formwork, rebar placement, concrete, finishing, and backfilling.
• Verify that all materials and workmanship comply with approved project specifications, standards, and ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
• Ensure that approved drawings and latest revisions are being used on site.
• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure quality requirements are met.

Planning & Documentation

• Review and verify civil work procedures, method statements, and checklists before execution.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective action records.

Quality Control Testing

• Witness and document all quality control tests such as slump test, cube test, and compaction test.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO) and client specifications.
• Participate in internal and external audits and assist in closing audit findings.

Stakeholder Management & Coordination

• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and QA/QC teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement of quality systems and site processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Civil QCI in EPC or construction projects.
• Preferred experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors, early civil works, concrete works, road and compaction activities.
• Familiar with project specifications, QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and method statements.
• Knowledge of international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO).
• Understanding of EPC project lifecycle.
