QS - Quantity Surveyor for Scaffolding Department

Role Overview

ABIS is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (QS) for the Scaffolding Department. The successful candidate will manage and control costs related to scaffolding projects, prepare accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and budget reports.

Role Purpose

To ensure cost efficiency and budget adherence across scaffolding projects by preparing accurate cost estimates, monitoring expenditure, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, contractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation & Planning

• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs for scaffolding materials and labor.
• Develop cost estimates and budgets for scaffolding projects.

Cost Control & Reporting

• Monitor and control project costs, identifying and reporting variances.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare regular cost reports.

Procurement & Contracts

• Review subcontractor quotations and contracts related to scaffolding works.
• Assist in procurement activities and contract negotiations.

Collaboration & Compliance

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost effectiveness and value engineering.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in scaffolding or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards is a plus.

• Proficiency with quantity surveying and cost estimation software.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
