Role Overview

QMS & GRC Engineer at Lucid Motors. This role leads the development and deployment of the Lucid AMP2 Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements and automotive best practices.

Role Purpose

Lead the establishment and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System across Lucid's manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, automotive best practices, and regulatory obligations across all markets where Lucid operates.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System Development & Deployment

• Establish and implement Quality Management System following ISO 9001 requirements and Lucid Production System.
• Ensure involvement and cascading of QMS at plant level with all concerned and interested parties.
• Administer the Qualtrics system to ensure full document control loop.
• Edit, review, and publish QMS-relevant controlled documents in coordination with cross-functional leaders.
• Maintain QMS system updates as per change management process and continuous improvement approach including best practices and lessons learned.

Training & Capability Building

• Conduct training and coaching of all team members on QMS to enhance quality mindset.
• Establish training plan for quality team and track its execution.
• Establish list of internal auditors and ensure their training, qualification, and coaching.
• Develop ability to coach and train at different levels of the manufacturing organization.

Auditing & Certification

• Ensure full interface with third-party certification bodies.
• Plan and execute ISO 9001 initial certification audit and follow-up certification cycle audits.
• Develop internal and external audits planning and ensure smooth execution.
• Establish and track implementation of action plans for internal and external audits.
• Ensure the Lucid AMP2 internal lead auditor role.
• Establish layered process audits planning and ensure its execution.
• Plan, prepare, and ensure execution of the CoP Audit (Conformity of Production).
• Deploy conformity of production requirements and lead CoP certification audit.
• Conduct GRC conformity audits on both processes and products and track implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Develop and track QMS dashboard and monitor its performance.
• Consolidate QMS processes performance and improvement opportunities.
• Support quality management reviews and track improvement opportunities.

Regulatory & Homologation Coordination

• Collect, review, communicate, and track deployment of regulatory requirements to ensure manufacturing processes comply with regulations of markets where Lucid is implemented as well as future markets.
• Work closely with homologation team to ensure conformity of vehicles and manufacturing processes to applicable regulatory requirements (CoP, SASO, DMV, NHTSA, GSO).
• Track homologation status.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial engineering, quality, or manufacturing. Master's degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing organizations.
• ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 internal auditor qualification is a must.
• Experience implementing, facilitating, or participating in ISO 9001:2015 and/or IATF 16949.
• Experience with Conformity of Production Audit (CoP).
• Implementing quality systems in a greenfield plant is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Hands-on experience with QMS and document control platforms (e.g., Qualtrax), including document lifecycle management, workflow configuration, revision control, change management, training assignments, and compliance tracking.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (MS-Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 implementation and certification requirements.
• Knowledge of process mapping, SIPOC methodology, process performance management, and risk assessment techniques.
• Knowledge of dashboard development, data analysis, and performance reporting, with ability to develop and maintain KPIs, metrics, and management reports.
• Knowledge of Conformity of Production (CoP) requirements is a plus.
• Creative, energetic, self-motivated, and highly organized.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Presentation and communication skills are a must.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and changing environment and scalable organization.
• Project management capabilities are a plus.
