Role Purpose

Perform quality control inspection activities in accordance with the established quality management system, ensuring that piping and welding work conforms to project requirements and international codes and standards through systematic inspection planning, execution, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection Planning and Documentation

• Establish inspection and test plans and record forms in accordance with project requirements and international codes and standards.
• Prepare and review quality procedure documents submitted by subcontractors, including Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Material Approval Requests (MAR).
• Prepare, review, and approve inspection reports documenting inspection results.
• Conduct ITP studies and manage inspection matrices to control inspection status.
• Set and apply practical inspection processes based on project requirements and international codes.

Material Receiving and Verification

• Check and verify material and equipment received in good condition.
• Verify that material received complies with the material request by reviewing related documents.
• Inspect incoming material deliveries by confirming specifications and compliance with approved submittals.
• Conduct visual and measurement tests in conjunction with the onsite logistics team.
• Reject and facilitate the return of unacceptable materials.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge and proven ability in Material Receiving Inspection techniques.

Piping Inspection

• Perform quality activities and inspections on piping discipline to determine whether work performed conforms to quality requirements.
• Review material submittals required for Piping Definable Features of Work prior to Preparatory Meetings.
• Conduct Preparatory Meetings with subcontractors related to Piping Definable Features of Work.
• Review pre-fabricated spool release, welding history, and perform inspections.
• Review and approve Test Packages, line walk, punch preparation, and Hydro test inspection.
• Ensure familiarity with P&ID.
• Monitor RT backlog as per project requirements.

Client and Subcontractor Coordination

• Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) providing sufficient notice for hold, witness, and inspection points.
• Perform and coordinate inspections with the client.
• Raise RFI for joint inspection with the client.
• Raise NCR for non-compliance.

Non-Conformance and Corrective Action

• Control Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to be closed out within the due date.
• Support preparation of Corrective Action Plans.
• Investigate and analyze nonconformities and observations and figure out solutions.
• Ensure application of lessons learned and proper preventive action.

Quality Control and Supervision

• Control quality violations through regular toolbox talks with the construction team.
• Carry out QC Supervisor responsibility in his/her absence.
• Able to check that suitable and appropriate inspection and test tools are used.

Project Lifecycle Support

• Support prevention and solving inconsistency.
• Manage pre-inspection activities.
• Manage punch clear activities and implementation.
• Support construction completion and pre-commissioning activities.
• Support plant start-up, operation, maintenance, and final handover.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School diploma or higher.
• Overall experience: 5 years.
• Inspection specialty experience: 3 years.
• Experience in contract scope of work: 2 years.
• Aramco experience required.
• SAP Number and CBT certification preferred; include in CV if available.
• Certified as an American Welding Society CWI, CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector, or company-approved equivalent for welding inspector specialization.
