Role Overview
QC Inspector - Painting & Insulation at Samsung E&A. This role is based at the job site and focuses on quality control and inspection across painting and insulation disciplines.

Role Purpose
Establish, implement and develop a quality management system throughout all disciplines in accordance with project requirements and ISO 9001 at the job site. Prevent Cost of Poor Quality through proactive quality management and efficient administration of the quality organization.
Key Responsibilities
Quality System & Planning
- Establish, implement and develop quality management system throughout all disciplines in accordance with project requirements and ISO 9001 at job site
- Establish Site Quality Execution Plan and announce it at Project Kick Off Meeting
- Establish Quality Performance Indicator and manage actual results
- Set and apply practical work processes
Quality Organization & Team Management
- Establish and administer overall quality organization for efficient and effective implementation of quality management system
- Distribute tasks to team staff and manage work performance
- Develop quality training courses to improve work performance
- Mentor and guide team members
- Lead Quality Meetings with client and subcontractors
Quality Control & Inspection
- Conduct Internal Quality Audit for construction staff and subcontractors
- Carry out Sampling Inspections to prevent any principal quality nonconformance
- Ensure proper application of lessons learned and preventive actions
- Analyze root cause of current issues and suggest guidelines for resolution
Rework & Risk Management
- Establish process and system to control rework that occurred because of work performed which does not conform to requirements
- Find potential risks and eliminate them through effective process and system to take preventive action
Stakeholder & Issue Management
- Liaise and solve with clients on quality-related matters such as Quality Issue and NCR observation
- Manage overall quality activities to achieve Mechanical Completion in accordance with project requirement
- Propose improvements and development in the area of quality
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field
- 10 or more years of experience in QA/QC inspections from project starts to completion
- Familiarity with project specifications and standards
- Medium to large-sized project experience
- Experience in oil, gas, petrochemical or power plants
- Engineering and Construction Company working experience in GCC
Skills & Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards and regulatory requirements
- Advanced inspection techniques and tools, material testing methods and documentation
- Leadership skills
- Ability to analyse and solve complex problems
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Welding: AWS as CWI, or TWI CL as CSWIP 3.1 WI, or approved equivalent certification level and scheme
- Mechanical: API 510, 570, 653 for inspection of pressure vessels, piping and storage tanks
- Coating: SAEP-316 Level II by NACE as CIP, or SSPC as PCI, or TWI CL as BGAS-CSWIP, or approved equivalent certification scheme required for the work
- ASNT Level II or III
