QC inspector - Instrument - Project

Role Overview

QC Inspector – Instrument at ABIS. This is a project-based role responsible for inspection and testing of instrumentation construction activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.

Role Purpose

Perform in-process and final inspections on instrumentation installation works, witness testing activities, verify materials and installations against approved documentation, and maintain comprehensive quality records to ensure work meets specifications and standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Verification

• Perform in-process and final inspections on instrumentation installation works.
• Verify instrument installation, tubing, and wiring against approved drawings and specifications.
• Verify materials and instruments against material certificates and specifications.
• Witness loop checks, calibration, and instrument testing activities per the ITP.
• Verify calibration status of test and measuring equipment used on site.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and instrumentation standards.

Non-Conformance & Hold Points

• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client and third-party inspectors.
• Timely identification and reporting of non-conformances.

Documentation & Records

• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Support preparation of quality documentation for instrumentation handover dossiers.
• Quality of inspection documentation.

Punch-List & Closure

• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for instrumentation works.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

• 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on instrumentation construction projects.

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering.
• QC/inspection certification preferred.
