QA/QC Manager

Role Overview

QA/QC Manager at KBR. This role provides specialized technical expertise in support of the quality program and oversees the delivery of quality objectives across project execution.

Role Purpose

To lead quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring products, procedures, and materials meet contractually required standards. The role combines technical inspection and testing oversight with team management, quality strategy development, and continuous improvement of product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Program & Technical Expertise

• Provide specialized technical expertise in support of the quality program.
• Apply specialized inspection and testing techniques.
• Implement statistical methods and quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
• Conduct quality audits.
• Validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution using knowledge of quality systems and tools.

Quality Documentation & Assessment

• Create inspection reports stating the conditions of work areas to ensure requirements are met.
• Make recommendations for corrective action based on inspection findings.

Quality Standards & Procedures

• Maintain quality standards of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope.
• Align quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
• Participate in the development of global processes and procedures.

Performance Improvement

• Apply principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.

Quality Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Deliver quality training to team members and stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Management

• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Manage the delivery of functional objectives.
• Be accountable for the performance and results of a related discipline or sub-group within a function.

Qualifications & Experience

• Undergraduate degree.
• 9 or more years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or related field.
