Role Overview
Punjabi Linguist CAT II supporting CENTCOM operations with Amentum. Position based in Kuwait supporting U.S. military operations. Please note: there is not currently a position available. Applications will be processed on an as-needed basis for future positions.

Amentum is a global organization serving the intelligence community with linguist and subject matter expert support for military operations outside the continental United States (OCONUS).
Role Purpose
Provide linguistic and cultural expertise to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) delivering language services, interpretation, transcription, and analysis while offering regional historical, political, sociological, and economic perspective to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Interpretation
- Provide operational contract linguist support for military operations.
- Interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Support 24 x 7 operations and work shifts and extended hours as required.
Translation & Transcription
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications.
- Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information.
- Supply a variety of translation and interpretation services for Punjabi.
Cultural & Strategic Support
- Provide cultural perspective and understanding of the region's historical, political, sociological, and economic trends to select members of senior leadership staff.
- Demonstrate familiarity with and ability to conduct oneself in accordance with local culture and customs.
Qualifications & Experience
- U.S. citizen.
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency level 3 in Punjabi.
- Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency level 2+ in English based on oral and written language skills examination.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent command of Punjabi verbal skills.
- Excellent command of English verbal and written skills.
Additional Information
- Must hold a current U.S. passport, or apply as soon as accepted into the program.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance for access to classified information.
- Must be willing to work in Kuwait.
- Must undergo medical examination.
