Role Purpose

Lead and manage large-scale multi-disciplinary projects within the UAE and GCC Region, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to client requirements. Oversee project teams, manage budgets, coordinate resources, and maintain alignment between client needs, internal teams, and sub-consultants.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Communicate scope, fee, deliverables and programme with the team through Project Kick-Offs and regular updates.
• Manage sub-consultants' agreements and payments through technical management coordination with the Design Management function.
• Ensure that the Project Execution Plan addresses design management requirements, including integration and interface management between Client requirements and sub-consultant design packages.
• Support the Project Director in production of the Project Management suite of documents and standard forms.
• Assist in risk identification and management.
• Assist the Project Director to identify and manage scope changes and scope extensions.
• Identify resourcing issues and requirements and coordinate these with the Technical Team Leads.
• Escalate to the Project Director when required.
• Provide timely external and internal monthly reporting by implementing a planned delivery schedule for routine reporting.
• Ensure Quality Systems processes are adhered to in the delivery of projects.
• Undertake debriefs with Client.
• Assist in managing the work financially, technically and contractually.

Financial Management

• Monitor Design Team progress and costs and highlight where costs are not tracking as planned.
• Coordinate with the Project Technical Leads to mitigate against potential over-runs or underspends.
• Apply commercial acumen and maintain a good understanding of risk.
• Manage risks proactively through use of the tools provided and regular team and Client engagement.
• Update Contingency requirements regularly, minimum once per design stage.
• Prepare Invoices for review and sign-off by the Project Director.
• Keep financial registers up to date.
• Drive the change process and compile variations.

Client Management

• Liaise and interact with the client for the technical delivery components of the project.
• Establish project objectives and develop project plans in collaboration with the Atkins team and Client.
• Manage project budgets and oversee project scheduling.
• Manage the project team and ensure team members are completing tasks on time.
• Maintain communication with all stakeholders at all times.
• Manage project risk and develop contingency plans.
• Ensure that health and safety standards are followed.
• Ensure adherence to Atkins' project management methodology requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 8 years experience within the Middle East.
• Minimum 4 years in the role of Associate Project Manager (APM) or Project Manager.
