Role Overview
Project Manager - EV Charging & Smart Building Technology at WSP in the Middle East. This role leads the successful delivery of innovative electric mobility and smart infrastructure projects across the region.

Role Purpose
To lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of EV Charging Infrastructure and Smart Building Technology systems projects, acting as primary client interface while coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful outcomes that meet scope, programme, budget and stakeholder expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead and manage the delivery of EV Charging Infrastructure projects from concept through design, construction, testing and commissioning.
- Oversee the implementation of AC and DC charging networks, fleet electrification projects, charging hubs and smart energy solutions.
- Manage the delivery of Smart Building Technology systems including BMS, IBMS, ICT, ELV, Security Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Smart Lighting, IoT Platforms and Digital Building Solutions.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary client interface, managing project scope, programme, budget and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across electrical engineering, ICT, digital technology, sustainability and specialist design disciplines.
Performance & Compliance
- Monitor project performance, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, international standards and WSP quality procedures.
Business Development
- Support business development activities, client engagement and proposal preparation across the Smart Mobility and Smart Buildings sector.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- 12+ years' experience delivering EV Charging Infrastructure, e-Mobility, Smart Cities, Smart Buildings or Technology-led Infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale projects within consultancy, engineering or infrastructure environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of EV charging systems, power distribution, renewable energy integration, battery energy storage systems and intelligent transport solutions.
- Proven experience managing Smart Building Technology systems including BMS, IBMS, ICT, Security, ELV and Digital Twin technologies.
