Role Overview
Project Manager at Amentum. This role supervises and manages program activities across multiple engineering disciplines including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Architectural, and Electrical Engineering, as well as general contracting.
Role Purpose
Manage, monitor, and oversee multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, performance metrics, and client expectations through regular site visits, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Documentation
- Manage, monitor, inspect, and document projects as required.
- Visit construction sites weekly and attend inspections or identified construction events.
- Understand engineering plans and identify potential problems.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Prepare and submit weekly project status and progress reports to the SM and COR.
- Establish, track, and report status against key performance indicators or contractual metrics on a routine basis.
Meetings & Stakeholder Management
- Attend project-specific meetings on a weekly basis.
- Support or conduct formal presentations to clients and/or management.
General Duties
- Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Safety & Quality Compliance
- Enforce and participate in Amentum's safety culture by continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Complete all required training and fulfill self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities.
- Participate in emergency response tasks and serve on safety committees and teams as appropriate.
- Conform to Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
- Read, understand, and implement general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to the position.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum three (3) years of relative experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Government Clearance.
- US Citizenship required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Skills & Competencies
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.

- Ability to work under deadlines.
Additional Information
- Position may require travel.
- Some positions may be assigned to overseas (OCONUS) locations where living and working conditions could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous or harsh conditions.
