Role Purpose

The Project Manager is accountable for managing the scope, schedule, and budget of assigned projects and managing the interface with all key stakeholders, both internally and externally, during project delivery. The role plans, directs, and coordinates project activities to ensure project objectives are accomplished within the agreed schedule and budget, using approved KONE methodologies and tools, with primary objectives of customer satisfaction and KONE profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Scope, Schedule & Budget Management

• Own project scope, schedule, and budget accountability, delivering the project within defined contractual requirements and KONE objectives.
• Conduct financial planning and forecasting, manage cash flow and revenue management.
• Identify, mitigate, and plan contingencies for operational and financial project risks; execute potential recovery actions.

Stakeholder & Customer Management

• Ensure professional stakeholder management to drive KONE business success and customer satisfaction.
• Manage customer communication proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure project status and progress are effectively communicated to KONE management and the customer.
• Conduct integrated project planning with customers and KONE full-chain teams.

Project Delivery & Control

• Manage project deliverables in line with the project plan.
• Ensure continuous full-chain project monitoring and control.
• Lead successful project start-up, project reviews, and project governance facilitation.
• Drive Sales-to-Operations handover quality and manage handovers to Customers and Maintenance.
• Facilitate project closing activities, maintain master action log and lessons learned document.

Team Leadership & Resourcing

• Manage and lead the full-chain project team.
• Ensure sufficient project resourcing and competencies.

Safety & Compliance

• Create and maintain safety and security awareness among project employees and subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to KONE and customer safety and security policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, preferably within the elevator industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from initiation to completion.
• Understanding of the financial aspects of managing projects and product initiatives.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent English and Arabic communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
