Project Engineer

Role Overview

Role Purpose

Lead and oversee various energy sector projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. Manage project teams, stakeholder communication, and risk mitigation to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Lifecycle Management

• Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure activities.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, resource allocation, and budget forecasts.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Assemble and lead project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and performance management.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
• Work effectively in a multicultural and geographically dispersed team environment.

Risk & Budget Management

• Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring financial targets are met.
• Oversee procurement processes for project materials and services.

Governance & Reporting

• Prepare and present project reports, presentations, and documentation to senior management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in project management, preferably within the energy, power, or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic required.
