Role Purpose

Lead project delivery and engineering coordination across infrastructure and development projects by managing timelines, budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams while maintaining quality standards, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Control

• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
• Prepare engineering budgets, project schedules, and project control budgets.
• Monitor engineering progress against budget and forecasted schedule.

Engineering & Technical Leadership

• Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and problems that arise during the project.
• Provide technical assistance and support to other departments during construction monitoring.
• Provide technical advice and support to construction and contractor management teams.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance teams to ensure project goals are met.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Maintain effective and ongoing communications with construction and contractor management teams.
• Coordinate engineering activities with other departments.
• Coordinate and communicate across project groups as needed on major projects in the region.
• Coordinate with regional and site management on status, significant trends, and changes of approved projects.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure projects adhere to quality standards and regulations.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting standards are maintained throughout the project or projects.
• Inform yourself of relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures in place within HILL International and ensure continued compliance with these requirements while employed.

Operations & Documentation

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders.
• Monitor project functions including Project Management, Site Management, Project Control Management, Engineering Management, Procurement, and Construction Management to ensure they are coordinated and properly staffed to meet project goals.
• Monitor construction progress and provide technical assistance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or city development projects.
• Extensive experience in the project management of water and wastewater works.
• Experience of major government and/or semi-government program and project implementations.
• Record of engagement with government entities and utility providers.
• Experience of implementing a zero accident philosophy.
• Experience of working internationally.
• Knowledge of professional project management processes and procedures.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
