Project Engineer

Role Overview

Project Engineer at Flowserve. This role coordinates the end-to-end execution of valve supply orders, managing technical approvals, procurement, financial documentation, and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Role Purpose

Manage the complete lifecycle of valve supply orders from contract review through shipment, coordinating technical specifications, procurement, financial documentation, and stakeholder approvals to meet contractual delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Management

• Understand technical and commercial requirements of the contract.
• Coordinate with Engineering team and obtain drawing approvals from the customer.
• Prepare Inspection and Test plans.
• Support production by providing tactical advice and guidance on specification deviations, waivers, and other activities as required.

Order & System Management

• Book the order in the system after technical and commercial review.
• Ensure orders are shipped within contractual delivery time.

Procurement & Sourcing

• Coordinate with Buyer for ordering materials with right technical specifications.
• Expedite with suppliers and manufacturing sites.
• Coordination with third party inspection agencies.

Documentation & Approvals

• Manage technical document submission and arrange approval by client.
• Complete post-order documentation.

Financial Coordination

• Coordinate with Finance team for Bank guarantee submissions and progress payment invoices.

Logistics & Shipment

• Coordinate with other functions and arrange for shipment of order.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders as necessary.

Planning & Communication

• Conduct production planning meetings to communicate product requirements, specifications, and timeline to applicable departments including Engineering, product management, production, quality, and procurement.

General

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Production, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Diploma holders with 10+ years of experience in project management shall be considered.
• 7+ years of related experience in the valve industry.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Exposure to dealing with global customers.
• Collaborative team player and self-starter capable of working under minimal supervision.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
