Project Controls Engineer

Role Overview

JASARA PMC is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join its team. This position ensures that projects are executed on time, within budget, and to specifications.

Role Purpose

The Project Controls Engineer plays a key role in supporting project planning, scheduling, performance monitoring, and stakeholder coordination. The role demands proficiency in project management processes, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

• Support project planning and scheduling activities to maximize efficiency and minimize risk.

Cost & Claims Management

• Assist the client to analyze and track the variations and claims approval process.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management and clients on project status, cost, and schedule.

Performance Monitoring & Analysis

• Monitor project performance, analyzing key metrics and reporting findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify deviations from plans and work on corrective actions.

Systems & Documentation

• Assist in the development of project control systems, workflows, and documentation.

Risk Management

• Participate in risk management processes, ensuring potential risks are identified and mitigated.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Foster communication between different project stakeholders to enhance project coordination.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls, ideally within the construction industry.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in project management tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of cost control, scheduling, and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a team environment.
