Role Purpose
The Project Control Engineer will support project cost management, financial performance analysis, and control reporting for complex development projects. The role ensures accurate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support project managers and leadership in making informed decisions and maintaining project financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Control and Analysis
- Track project costs and analyze variances against approved budgets.
- Prepare and maintain Budget at Completion (BAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
- Prepare cost forecasts and cash-flow reports.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor project progress and financial performance.
- Prepare management dashboards.
- Apply Earned Value Management principles and track key performance indicators.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Support monthly project reviews and financial closing activities.
Risk and Corrective Action Support
- Support project managers in identifying cost risks and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in project controls and cost management.
- Experience in project budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- PMP certification is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project controls/reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Primavera P6, Power BI, or ERP systems is an advantage.
