Production Coordinator

Role Purpose

Support production and project execution activities by coordinating resources, tracking progress, and ensuring efficient communication between departments to meet project schedules and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate daily production activities and monitor progress against project schedules and production plans.
• Liaise with Production, Planning, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, PMV, and Project teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of activities.
• Maintain production schedules and communicate updates, delays, and resource requirements to relevant stakeholders.
• Support production meetings and coordinate action items arising from progress review discussions.

Tracking & Monitoring

• Track fabrication, piping, structural, mechanical, and ship repair activities and provide progress updates.
• Monitor job cards, work orders, and production reports to ensure accurate recording and tracking of activities.
• Monitor compliance with project requirements, company procedures, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.

Resource Management

• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor requirements to support production operations.
• Follow up on material availability and coordinate with Procurement and Stores to avoid production delays.

Reporting & Documentation

• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review.
• Ensure production documentation is maintained accurately and updated regularly.

Continuous Improvement

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Production Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Marine Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in production coordination, fabrication, ship repair, marine, oil & gas, or EPC environments.
• Strong understanding of fabrication, structural, piping, and mechanical production processes.
• Experience in project coordination, production planning, and progress monitoring.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schedules, and work orders.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ERP systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English (mandatory).
