Role Overview

Product Repair & Modifications Technician with Boeing Operations International Incorporated Kuwait, supporting C-17 Globemaster III aircraft maintenance at Al Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait.

Company Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking personnel to support Boeing Global Services in Kuwait as part of the on-site C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program maintenance team supporting the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) C-17 aircraft based at Al Mubarak Air Base Kuwait.

Role Purpose

Participate in organizational and intermediate level maintenance activities on C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to meet KAF mission requirements. Support day-to-day flight line operations including aircraft servicing, inspections, fault diagnosis, component replacement, and back-shop repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Aircraft Maintenance & Repair

• Lead assembly, disassembly and modification of systems through change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul operations.
• Perform organizational level maintenance activities including flight line tasks such as aircraft servicing, inspections and fault diagnosis.
• Perform intermediate level maintenance activities including back-shop tasks such as component repair, test set operation, battery charging and scheduled periodic inspections.

Troubleshooting & Testing

• Direct troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
• Oversee validation and verification testing of systems and components.
• Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

Quality & Compliance

• Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
• Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance including repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results.

Supervision & Development

• Lead and supervise others to perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle including jacking, towing and system operations.
• Provide training and mentoring to others.

General Operations

• Work under minimal direction.
• Demonstrate competency in reading, comprehension and speaking the English language as the primary language of the KAF community on the airbase in Kuwait and all technical data and training are in English.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of C-17 maintenance experience.
• Education and experience typically acquired through basic education such as High School diploma or GED and typically 7 or more years of C-17 related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience such as vocational school with Associate degree plus 2 years related work, or Bachelor degree.

• English language proficiency in reading, comprehension and speaking.
• Knowledge of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems.
• Component repair and testing capabilities.
• Aircraft maintenance and inspection expertise.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Supervision and mentoring ability.

Additional Information

• Position requires working one of two shifts Sunday through Thursday, with weekends and holidays as required to support flight line maintenance requirements.
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country as applicable.

• This is an international, locally hired position in Kuwait. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Kuwait law.
