Job description
Role Overview
Product Designer at Lucidya in Saudi Arabia. Saudi nationals only.
Company Overview
Lucidya is an AI-native platform for customer experience (CX) intelligence that helps organizations understand their customers and take action across the entire customer lifecycle. The platform brings together products including Social Listening, OmniServe, Survey, and AI Agent, helping enterprise organizations across the region turn customer data into better experiences and measurable business outcomes.
Role Purpose
As Lucidya's products become more sophisticated and customer demands increase, this role exists to ensure that complexity does not become the customer's problem. You will move beyond executing designs to own problems from beginning to end, taking ambiguous customer and business problems through to implementation and iteration while working alongside Product, Engineering, and Research teams.
Key Responsibilities
Problem Ownership & Discovery
- Own design problems end-to-end, from understanding the problem and defining user experience through wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI, handoff, implementation, and post-launch iteration.
- Turn ambiguity into clarity by working with Product, Engineering, Research, and stakeholders to understand underlying problems and determine what needs to be solved.
- Work with Product, Engineering, Research, and stakeholders to understand the underlying problem and determine what we actually need to solve.
Outcomes & Validation
- Design for outcomes, not outputs, by challenging solutions that don't clearly improve the customer's experience.
- Use research, data, and customer feedback to understand whether designs are actually working.
- Conduct or support usability testing and lightweight research to validate assumptions rather than relying solely on personal opinion.
- Bring customer evidence into design decisions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering, becoming involved early rather than receiving requirements at the end of the process.
- Help shape what gets built and work through technical and product constraints without losing sight of the customer.
- Communicate your thinking clearly by presenting work to Product, Engineering, leadership, and other stakeholders, explaining not only what you designed but why you made those decisions.
- Actively participate in critiques and give thoughtful feedback to other designers.
- Share what you've learned rather than keeping your knowledge within your own product area.
Design Quality & Systems
- Raise the quality of Lucidya's products by contributing to the design system and helping create consistency across products while knowing when a problem requires something different.
- Make complex products feel simple, whether designing analytics, workflows, AI functionality, or customer-facing experiences, by looking for ways to reduce cognitive load and help users get to the outcome they need faster.
Localization & Market Considerations
- Design thoughtfully for the market by accounting for Arabic and English experiences, RTL considerations, and the needs of enterprise customers across the region.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3β5 years of product design or UX/UI experience, ideally in B2B or SaaS environments.
- Portfolio demonstrating genuine end-to-end product thinking.
- Saudi national, as this position is designated for Saudi nationals.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in Figma and comfortable with prototyping, design systems, and modern product design practices.
- Ability to take an ambiguous brief, ask the right questions, break it down, and move it forward independently.
- Product mindset rather than UI-only focus: interested in the customer, the business problem, constraints, and outcomes.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and back thinking with evidence.
- Ability to defend design decisions while understanding that product development involves technical, commercial, and time constraints.
- Highly collaborative approach without throwing designs over the wall or waiting for direction.
- Comfort with ambiguity and change, staying focused on outcomes rather than becoming frustrated by the process.
- Genuine curiosity about users and willingness to change designs when evidence contradicts assumptions.
- Clear communication skills adapted for Engineers, Product Managers, customers, and executives.
- High standards for interaction, usability, accessibility, and visual design with understanding of when "good enough to learn" is better than perfecting unvalidated work.
Additional Information
Nice to Have
- Experience designing data-heavy or analytics-driven B2B products.
- Experience with AI-powered products, conversational interfaces, or AI agents.
- Experience designing Arabic/English or RTL experiences.
- Familiarity with tools such as FigJam, Maze, LogRocket, or similar research and testing tools.
Hiring Process
- Recruiter screening: Initial conversation about experience, motivations, and what you're looking for next.
- Design interview: Deeper discussion with the Design team around product thinking, design process, and approach to solving complex problems.
- Portfolio/case study presentation: Walk through selected projects, focusing on the problem, your role, decisions, trade-offs, collaboration, and measurable or observable outcomes.
- Team/culture interview: Conversation focused on how you work, give and receive feedback, handle disagreement, and contribute to a high-performing team.
- Final interview: Final conversation with the relevant leadership team.
