Procurement Specialist

Role Overview

Procurement Specialist at Wood PLC, based in Riyadh with frequent site visits.

Role Purpose

Support the procurement function on EPCM projects by reviewing contractor plans, evaluating vendor proposals, validating purchase orders, and coordinating with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Planning & Assessment

• Review and assess the EPCM contractor's procurement plans, material requisitions, and procurement schedules.
• Support the management of long-lead items and equipment tracking.

Vendor Evaluation & Selection

• Support the technical evaluation of vendor proposals, including bid tabulations (TBE), vendor selection processes, and commercial bid evaluations (CBE).
• Review and validate purchase orders (POs), vendor documentation, logistics strategies, and quality assurance processes.

Quality & Expediting

• Participate in factory acceptance tests (FATs), vendor inspections, and expediting activities.
• Resolve vendor-related issues.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate integration of vendor data into project deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience within at least one of the following sectors: Mining, Oil & Gas, EPC, or EPCM environments.
• Strong understanding of key contracting principles, supported by relevant industry experience and exposure.
• Good understanding of contract terms, procurement principles, and contracting processes.
• Solid awareness of corporate and project procedures, as well as client contract structures and policies.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders.
