Role Overview
Procurement Officer at ABIS. The role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials, equipment, and services required for project execution, ensuring timely delivery at competitive cost in line with project specifications and procurement procedures.
Role Purpose
Support project execution through strategic sourcing, purchasing, and expediting of materials, equipment, and services. Ensure timely delivery at competitive cost while maintaining compliance with project specifications and company procurement procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Order Management
- Process purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders for project materials and services.
- Expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery aligned with the project schedule.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor files, and purchase order tracking logs.
Vendor Management & Negotiation
- Source and obtain competitive quotations from approved vendors and subcontractors.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Support vendor evaluation and maintain the approved vendor list.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies, damages, and supplier non-conformances.
Coordination & Compliance
- Coordinate with QC and warehouse to verify material receipt against purchase orders and specifications.
- Liaise with planning and site teams to align procurement with material requirement dates.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and project requirements.
- Support customs and import documentation coordination as required.
Reporting & Cost Management
- Support cost tracking and reporting for procured materials and services.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 or more years of experience in procurement or purchasing on EPC or industrial construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
