Role Purpose

Process Engineers develop, review, and optimize process engineering deliverables for oil and gas projects across FEED, Detailed Engineering, and operational phases. The role requires technical expertise in process design, simulation, and equipment sizing, combined with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Process Engineering Deliverables

• Develop and review process engineering deliverables for FEED and Detailed Engineering projects.
• Prepare and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Equipment Datasheets, and Process Design Basis documentation.
• Assist in the development of process engineering deliverables for oil and gas projects (graduate and junior level).

Engineering Calculations and Simulation

• Perform process design calculations including material and energy balances.
• Conduct process simulation studies using industry-standard software.
• Perform basic process simulations and engineering calculations under supervision (graduate and junior level).
• Support preparation and review of process calculations (graduate and junior level).

Technical Design Support

• Calculate utility consumption, relief and flare systems, and cause and effect matrices.
• Support sizing and selection of process equipment, including vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and control valves.
• Assist in preparing equipment datasheets and process design documentation (graduate and junior level).

Workshop and Assessment Participation

• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and Design Review workshops.
• Participate in HAZOP, design review, and risk assessment workshops (graduate and junior level).

Stakeholder and Team Coordination

• Interface with clients, licensors, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, and Operations teams.

Project Lifecycle Support

• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational phases.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities (graduate and junior level).

Process Improvement and Optimization

• Identify opportunities for process optimization, energy efficiency, and plant performance improvements.
• Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives (graduate and junior level).

Team Development

• Mentor and support junior engineers.

Compliance and Standards

• Ensure compliance with company HSE and quality requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Fresh Graduates (0–3 Years)

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Internship or project experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or EPC industries is an advantage.

Experienced Candidates (4–10 Years)

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical, Refining, Offshore, Energy, or EPC projects.
• Experience in FEED, Detailed Design, Brownfield, Greenfield, or EPC is preferred.
