Role Overview
Principal/Senior Tunnel Engineer at Surbana Jurong Group. This role supports the design and delivery of complex underground infrastructure projects, encompassing structural design, tunnel analysis, multidisciplinary coordination, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant engineering solutions.

Role Purpose
To lead the structural design and technical delivery of tunnel and underground infrastructure projects, providing expert analysis, multidisciplinary coordination, and engineering support from design through construction to ensure safe, efficient, and standards-compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Analysis
- Develop structural designs and technical solutions for tunnel and underground structures.
- Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations for tunnel linings and related works.
Coordination & Support
- Coordinate with geotechnical and multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery.
- Provide technical support during design reviews and construction stages.
Quality & Compliance
- Review design drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in tunnel and underground infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience with TBM, NATM, and Cut-and-Cover tunnel methodologies.
- Knowledge of international design codes and tunnel engineering standards.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in structural analysis and engineering design software.
- Excellent technical, coordination, and communication skills.
