Principal Stakeholder Architect

Role Overview

Principal Stakeholder Architect at WSP Middle East, based in Saudi Arabia. The role leads architectural stakeholder management and coordination across major infrastructure, aviation, transport, and mixed-use development projects.

Role Purpose

Act as the primary architectural interface between clients, authorities, operators, design teams, contractors, and key project stakeholders, ensuring alignment between stakeholder requirements, design intent, and project delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Liaison & Coordination

• Liaise with all stakeholders, authorities, consultants, and contractors on all project-related documents including NOCs, permits, and approvals on design and construction matters.
• Liaise with key stakeholders and authorities to ensure a smooth handover of assets on completion of works.
• Attend weekly and monthly meetings as necessary for all types of projects.
• Keep track and record all required actions from all stakeholders and follow up on progress as required.
• Provide on-site direction and work with the PMC team to complete handover tasks.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare reports, manuals, and guideline documents pertaining to specific handover and stakeholder issues as required by the client.
• Provide handover and stakeholder input to weekly and monthly reports.
• Ensure correctness and completeness of As-Built drawings, O&M manuals, and all related authority checklists and documents.

Project Oversight & Progress Tracking

• Inform the Team Leader of any potential delays in project completion or milestones.
• Check and measure performed work in your line of work, record findings, and help the Team Leader display progress versus programmed work.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and mentor the KSA Area of Responsibility team while supporting strategic work-winning efforts.
• Strengthen client relationships and secure new project opportunities.
• Manage resourcing and project deliverables across multiple projects in KSA.
• Coordinate with other WSP offices to deliver compliant, high-quality, and commercially successful projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a relevant field of study.
• 12+ years of experience in stakeholder positions on similar construction projects.
• Deep understanding of required governmental processes to attain NOC, permits, and authority approvals across various regions in KSA.
