Pre-sales Engineer at Gutor, a leading international manufacturer of UPS systems for industrial applications. The role is based in the MEA region and supports the Industrial Uninterruptible Power Supply solution business.

Role Purpose
The Pre-sales Engineer supports the Sales Team in tendering and technical and commercial proposal exercises for Gutor's Industrial UPS solution business. The role owner creates and manages technical and commercial proposals with full compliance to company regulation and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Development
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals that meet customer requirements and organization regulation and guidelines.
- Ensure high quality of proposal submissions with accurate costing and optimized solutions that meet specifications.
- Evaluate offers and pricing with necessary costing analysis.
- Identify and quantify risk and opportunities.
- Own the proposed solutions.
- Incorporate Gutor proposition values into offers.
- Ensure on-time tender submission.
Customer Engagement
- Attend technical bid clarification meetings.
- Drive and lead technical discussions and closure with customers.
- Present and qualify proposals as the best solution to solve customer problems.
- Identify and address customer concerns.
FEED and Technical Support
- Support customers with sound technical proposals during FEED stage.
- Spec-in and qualify Gutor solution as main design reference.
- Incorporate and push Gutor value proposition to customers.
Project Coordination
- Facilitate Quote to Win process.
- Support project handover to execution team.
- Support project manager and design engineer during project execution.
- Properly identify risks and opportunities with mitigation plans.
- Demonstrate strong cooperation and collaboration with other departments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Tendering, Sales, Engineering, or Project Execution.
- Fundamental knowledge of Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of UPS solution and battery sizing calculations (added advantage).
- Understanding of multi-cultural markets with go-to-market models.
