Pre-Sales Development Engineer

Role Overview

Pre-Sales Development Engineer at Bosch, located in the GCC region.

Role Purpose

Support distributors across the GCC with technical expertise on VRF and DX systems for mega-project opportunities. Resolve complex equipment selection inquiries, review technical documentation, and elevate distributor capability through structured training and workshops.

Key Responsibilities

Distributor Support

• Be present side by side with distributors across GCC responding to technical inquiries and supporting equipment selections for VRF and DX mega project opportunities.
• Handle and resolve complex Hitachi VRF and DX system selection inquiries reducing lead times on mega-project bids and ensuring distributors submit technically accurate proposals.

Technical Review & Compliance

• Review technical submittals, compliance statements, and technical documentation for active mega project pursuits across UAE and GCC.

Training & Capability Development

• Evaluate the technical competency and capability of distributor application teams.
• Design and deliver structured training programs on a quarterly basis to elevate distributor skills.
• Conduct product selection training sessions, installation training for contractors, and technical workshops to improve distributor capability and market effectiveness with coordination with product team and after sales department.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• 5-8 years of experience in the HVAC industry specifically in pre-sales, business development, or technical sales support for VRF and light commercial AC products.
• Strong technical knowledge of VRF and DX system design, equipment selection, heat load calculations, and troubleshooting.
• Proven track record of working with distributors, MEP consultants, contractors, and developers across UAE and GCC.
• Experience preparing technical submittals, compliance statements, and techno-commercial proposals.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong presentation and communication skills in English.
• Arabic language skills are a plus.
