Role Overview
PMO Trainee position at Hitachi Energy L.L.C in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This is a full-time role offered through the Management Trainee program designed to prepare participants for future leadership positions within the company.
Role Purpose
Provide structured introduction to global operations across multiple departments while supporting the Project Management Office in day-to-day portfolio management, governance, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Rotation & Development
- Participate in a structured rotation program across departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources.
- Gain hands-on experience in project management, process improvement, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Receive mentorship from experienced leaders and contribute to ongoing projects.
- Actively participate in training sessions and workshops designed to enhance leadership, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Develop a strong understanding of Hitachi's products, services, and corporate culture.
Portfolio Management & Monitoring
- Support the PMO Manager in day-to-day management and governance of the project portfolio.
- Monitor project performance against key KPIs, including revenue, OBL, OTD, forecast accuracy, COPQ, risks/opportunities, and project close-out.
- Consolidate and analyze portfolio information to identify critical, slow-moving, delayed, or high-risk projects.
Governance & Compliance
- Monitor compliance with PMO processes, governance requirements, and project management standards.
Process Improvement & Digital Transformation
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of PMO processes and digital tools.
- Identify opportunities to use AI to improve PMO processes and productivity.
- Support the development and implementation of AI use cases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and proposals for senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives and resolve business challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven leadership potential through academic, extracurricular, or professional experiences.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English is required.
- Proactive attitude with strong initiative.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse environment.
Additional Information
- Full-time position with no remote work option.
- Flexibility and willingness to relocate or travel as required by program rotations.
