Role Overview
PMC Senior Supervisor, OPS Support - Mechanical with Wood PLC, based on site in Habshan, Abu Dhabi on a major project with ADNOC.

Role Purpose
Oversee and coordinate all on-site mechanical activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards for a high-profile client. Guarantee that all mechanical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in line with project specifications and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Supervision
- Oversee installation, erection, and maintenance of mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, and piping systems.
- Ensure compliance with IFC drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Verify correct installation of supports, valves, and mechanical assemblies.
Execution & Coordination
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors for mechanical works to ensure safe, efficient, and quality execution of mechanical works onsite.
- Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
- Resolve site-related issues and interface with vendors and technical specialists.
Testing & Commissioning
- Monitor hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, flushing, and reinstatement activities.
- Ensure system readiness for pre-commissioning and commissioning.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements, ensuring zero incidents and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
- Stop unsafe practices and ensure corrective actions.
Quality Assurance & Control
- Coordinate inspections with QA/QC teams and client representatives.
- Ensure closure of NCRs and compliance with international standards.
- Monitor welding quality, NDT activities, and final acceptance.
Planning & Reporting
- Monitor mechanical activities against project timelines, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to avoid delays.
- Track progress against schedule and identify delays.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Review productivity and workforce utilization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma with a minimum of 15 years Oil and Gas industry experience.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
