Role Purpose

Facilitate and formulate construction supervision, management, coordination, administration and strict enforcement of the construction scope included as part of FEED/EPC Contract in line with the client's objective of progressing work order completion timely and to project schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Supervision and Coordination

• Coordinate the FEED/EPC Contractor from construction through commissioning and handing over of FEED/EPC works.
• Supervise, monitor and inspect the work of EPC contractor and EPC contractor's subcontractors at the construction location or place of manufacture in accordance with ADNOC Offshore policy for supervision, quality assurance, control and inspection for the project.
• Undertake visits to facilities and sites to support the development of construction activities, review designs and liaise with EPC Contractor or EPC Contractor's Subcontractors.
• Participate in site surveys and generation of reports where required.
• Maintain EPC contractor's adherence to safety, quality and schedule requirements for construction.

Planning and Design Review

• Review and provide input to the overall construction and installation plan, procedures and construction and installation requirements identified in the EPC Packages developed by FEED contractor to ensure efficient constructability.
• Ensure the construction and installation plan, procedures and requirements developed by EPC contractor comply with the EPC Scope of Work intent and requirements.
• Review design documents and provide constructability input to designs.
• Ability to review engineering design drawings and challenge work content for any improvement or cost effective methodology that can be adopted without compromise to safety.
• Challenge engineering detail for possible areas where hot work can be reduced or minimized.
• Coordinate and carry out required timely constructability reviews, in line with model progression.
• Ensure the required constructability readiness reviews are addressed to suit the planned deliverables timing.

Fabrication and Construction Support

• Coordinate and assist fabrication works at EPC contractor's or EPC contractor's subcontractor's fabrication facilities.
• Identify any specialist vendor support, tools and equipment required to implement scope.

Issue Management and Reporting

• Participate in identifying construction slippage and recommend corrective actions to be performed by EPC contractor.
• Involved in effective change management.
• Formulate construction deliverables in line with project procedures for content and accuracy.
• Provide construction input to estimates as and when required.

Stakeholder and Cross-functional Coordination

• Liaise closely with ADNOC Offshore PMT team on all aspects of design and technical data.
• Interface with ADNOC Offshore's operations groups as and when necessary.
• Liaise strongly with procurement team for materials and equipment deliverables for alignment to the overall project schedules.
• Coordinate with project controls on the progress of work order issuance and proposed completion dates.

Bid and Pre-Commissioning Support

• Assist with construction input to bid preparation.
• Development of construction requirements for bid estimates.
• Thorough working knowledge and experience of construction completion procedures and pre-commissioning activities.

Health, Safety and Environment

• Participate in HSE improvement activities, promoting HSE elements throughout construction development wherever possible.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, being in a similar role for at least 5 years.
• PMC experience on EPC offshore brownfield field production upgradation and modification of existing facilities projects is highly preferable.
• Full working knowledge of construction activities in relation to the relevant discipline.
