PMC Lead Static Engineer

Role Purpose

To provide technical expertise and leadership in mechanical static equipment design and engineering, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards while coordinating design activities across the Integrated Project Management Team, Engineering Consultants, EPC Contractors, and ADNOC stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Design Expertise

• Provide technical expertise in all mechanical static equipment design.
• Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
• Ensure integration of overall Mechanical Static Engineering across the IPMT Mechanical Static Engineering Team.

Design Review & Quality Assurance

• Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Mechanical Static Engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants and contractors.
• Review and approve Engineering Consultant and EPC Contractor work to ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of Engineering Consultant and EPC Contractor Mechanical Static Engineering design activities.

Coordination & Project Management

• Coordinate, monitor, and handle static equipment design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectation and complete within the time frame.
• Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models.
• Participate in teams for equipment sizing and equipment selection considering optimization and standardization.
• Participate in layout reviews, model reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.

Stakeholder Engagement & Technical Support

• Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering, Operations, and Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality Discipline Engineering execution and integrity.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Interface with Managers, Team Leaders, and Engineers in the Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department.
• Interface regularly with Contractor's Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as required.

Design Optimization & Compliance

• Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to design optimization and validation.
• Ensure that facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects.
• Ensure full utilization of existing facilities while optimizing facilities required for new projects.

Reporting & Leadership

• Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader and Engineering Manager.
• Provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry.
• Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing, and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.
