Plumber

Role Overview

Plumber at Hilton. This role maintains the hotel's plumbing systems, water supply, drainage infrastructure, and sanitary fixtures to ensure guest safety, comfort, and seamless operations across all hotel areas.

Role Purpose

As a Plumber, you install, maintain, and repair water supply, drainage, sewage, and plumbing systems throughout the hotel. You respond to plumbing faults and guest complaints promptly, conduct preventive maintenance to avoid major breakdowns, and support the Engineering team in renovations and new installations. Your work directly enables a safe, functional environment that allows guests and staff to have their best experience.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Repair

• Install water supply, drainage, sewage, and plumbing systems throughout the hotel.
• Repair and maintain sanitary fixtures, faucets, flush valves, mixers, and other plumbing fittings.
• Attend to plumbing faults, leaks, blockages, low water pressure, and other maintenance requests promptly.
• Respond to emergency situations such as major water leaks, pipe bursts, flooding, or drainage failures.

Preventive Maintenance

• Carry out preventive maintenance of pipes, valves, pumps, water heaters, tanks, toilets, showers, sinks, and related equipment.
• Inspect plumbing systems regularly and identify potential issues before they lead to major breakdowns.
• Monitor water tanks, pumps, and related systems and report any abnormalities to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Maintain proper drainage systems and ensure that wastewater and sewage lines are functioning effectively.

Guest and Departmental Support

• Respond to guest room, public area, kitchen, staff area, and back-of-house plumbing complaints.
• Work closely with Housekeeping, F&B, Stewarding, and other departments to resolve plumbing-related issues.
• Support the Engineering team during renovations, room maintenance, and new installations.

Inventory and Safety

• Maintain adequate stock of plumbing tools, spare parts, and materials and report requirements to the supervisor.
• Follow all hotel safety procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, and local regulations.
• Ensure all work areas are kept clean and safe after completing maintenance tasks.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of completed work, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer.
