Role Overview
Planning Manager at JASARA PMC, a joint venture between Public Investment Fund (PIF), Jacobs, and Saudi Aramco, based in Saudi Arabia. You will lead planning efforts for large-scale social infrastructure projects and contribute to the realization of Vision 2030.

Role Purpose
The Planning Manager leads all planning efforts for complex, large-scale social infrastructure programs in Saudi Arabia. You will manage schedule development and maintenance, guide multidisciplinary teams through integrated planning processes, and deliver high-quality schedule products that drive project performance and align with organizational governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development & Maintenance
- Produce the project schedule and maintain it in accordance with Consultant/Contractor requirements.
- Ensure the schedule adheres to the Schedule Management Plan, planning processes, and organizational WOW (Way of Working).
- Develop and implement appropriate improvements to ensure optimal project schedule quality.
- Produce Baseline/Target schedules for submission.
- Ensure weekly/monthly updating of schedules as design and construction work develops.
Schedule Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze schedules to identify performance trends and raise issues for management attention with mitigation solutions.
- Review prepared schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations.
- Develop reports and evaluate them to support project decision-making.
- Review and edit project progress tracking and reporting.
- Respond accurately and in a timely manner to team queries regarding the content of schedule submissions.
- Provide attention to detail and ability to validate, check, and analyze schedule management inputs, recordings, and reports produced.
Resource & Constraint Planning
- Conduct resource planning to indicate the levels of resources required.
- Integrate inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties.
- Coordinate work sequences with performing organizations and units to align with the total project plan.
- Identify key interfaces and manage them efficiently to ensure seamless coordination.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Identify potential and occurring problems affecting the work schedule at the site and recommend solutions to the relevant team or department.
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, coach, and mentor junior staff to successfully contribute to department deliverables.
- Support the management of a team of professionals delivering planning and schedule management services.
- Take responsibility for staff development.
- Manage sharing of knowledge and information within your own team and with internal stakeholders.
- Clarify the needs of the team to ensure the delivery of effective services.
Quality & Process Improvement
- Consciously seek ways to improve the provision and quality of services provided to project teams.
- Continually improve the quality of schedule presentation, information, and documentation.
- Ensure the preservation of all backup documentation throughout the process, working closely with information management teams.
- Provide inputs in setting up processes and procedures and implement them.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Encourage communication and collaboration with other teams.
- Provide guidance and support to the team in all aspects of planning, cost, resourcing, and risk.
- Give advice on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.
- Undertake strategic planning exercises with wider team.
- Manage coordination with the commercial function to implement an effective controls system covering budget, cost, reporting, risk, and change management.
- Provide effective and timely advice to clients.
Personal Execution
- Plan and schedule your own work to meet required timelines and outputs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ten years' experience in construction, preferably within the infrastructure sector.
- Key role in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience managing a team of professionals.
- Experience creating plans or analyzing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
- Experience managing the planning and scheduling delivery of medium to high complexity projects or programmes.
- Understanding of data management.
