Picker

Role Overview

Picker position at Majid Al Futtaim, MAF Retail Supermarket (Express), based in the UAE.

Role Purpose

The Picker is responsible for consolidating orders from the putaway area and picking items from shelves in the selling area while maintaining company standards for quality, accuracy, and productivity. The role ensures completeness and correctness of all orders picked.

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment

• Pick orders by scanning items individually.
• Consolidate orders from the putaway area.
• Pick items from shelves in the selling area.
• Verify and confirm out-of-stock items with the section in charge.

Quality Control

• Perform quality control checks on all items.
• Ensure all picked goods and items conform to the expiry date policy.
• Check expiry dates on all ordered items.
• Provide feedback to pickers if wrong items are picked or product quality does not meet standards.

Organization & Reporting

• Ensure the putaway area is organized and all unused trollies and crates are moved to the storage area.
• Ensure all putaway locations and crates have scannable barcodes.
• Report any anomalies to the line manager, including wrong product image, wrong location, or picking system issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years' experience, preferably in e-commerce operations.
• Retail online business experience is a plus.
• Good understanding of quality control checks.

Skills & Competencies

• Good English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Understanding of retail products.
