Role Overview

Pediatric Psychologist at Taiba Hospital. Job Code: CH-002, Grade: A3. Reports to Children's Health Integrated Care Center.

Role Purpose

Deliver evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to children and families within an integrated pediatric care model. Build caregiver capacity, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and champion early mental-health support to improve emotional, behavioral, and developmental outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment & Diagnosis

• Use play-based and standardized assessment tools (CBCL, BASC) to identify children's emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.

Clinical Intervention

• Provide individual and group interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family counseling tailored to pediatric populations.
• Coach parents and caregivers in behavior-management strategies, communication techniques, and home-based supports.

Care Integration

• Collaborate with pediatricians, nurses, and allied health professionals to embed mental-health support into each child's care plan.
• Ensure seamless completion of multidisciplinary referrals.

Monitoring & Evaluation

• Track patient progress using validated behavioral and emotional assessment measures.
• Refine interventions based on data and family feedback.

Education & Advocacy

• Create workshops and educational materials on managing tantrums, anxiety-coping skills, and social development.
• Lead team briefings and community outreach to destigmatize pediatric mental-health care and encourage early intervention.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (licensed or license-eligible).
• 3 or more years' experience in pediatric or child-development settings.
• Proficiency with child-assessment instruments and electronic medical records documentation.
• Strong competency in play-therapy and family-systems intervention approaches.
