Role Overview

Order Taker - Room Service at Hilton, supporting in-room dining operations and guest experiences.

Role Purpose

To process room service orders efficiently and accurately while delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences through friendly, attentive service.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service

• Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make their experience special.
• Respond to Room Service telephones and guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.

Order Management

• Capture food and beverage orders and input them into the point-of-sale system without errors.
• Learn the details of all menu items, promotions, and specials so you can help guests and answer their questions with confidence.

Sales & Upselling

• Suggest and promote food and beverage items such as sides, desserts, drinks, and special promotions.

Payment & Reconciliation

• Reconcile checks, including verifying check totals and gratuity disbursement.
• Handle cash according to accounting guidelines.

Skills & Competencies

• Attention to detail when capturing and processing orders.
• Knowledge of menu items, pricing, and promotions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Cash handling and payment processing accuracy.
• Point-of-sale system proficiency.
