Role Overview

Operator - Multi Skilled at AD Ports Group. The role supports the efficient operation and maintenance of port and terminal machinery and equipment to enable smooth loading and discharging operations.

Role Purpose

Assist in the efficient operation and maintenance of various machinery and equipment to facilitate smooth loading and discharging operations in the specified port or terminal.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Operate port and terminal machinery and equipment efficiently to contribute to smooth cargo flow and port operations.
• Maintain constant radio and communications with all personnel assisting with loading and discharge of cargo.

Safety & Inspections

• Participate in routine pre and post operational safety checks over various port and terminal equipment for loading and unloading of cargo from ships, barges, rail, and trucks to ensure efficient flow of port activities.
• Assist in inspecting the condition of all terminal equipment including ITV, forklifts, Reach stackers, RTG and Bobcat.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with maintenance team for repairs and upgrades to ensure the safety of equipment and cargo.
• Ensure that all port and terminal operations comply with quality standards, safety regulations and industry-specific requirements.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain documentation and accurate records of equipment operation and maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School certificate; Diploma is a plus.
• Valid U.A.E. Heavy Machinery License.
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Technical certification in port operations is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Experience in operating ports equipment and machinery in a ports industry.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
• Leadership, training and mentorship.
• Thorough knowledge of port safety regulations.
• Excellent English.
• Arabic is an added advantage.
