On-site Project Translator

Role Overview

On-site Project Translator at On, located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Full-time, project-based position reporting to the Project Manager.

Role Purpose

Provide comprehensive on-site interpretation and translation services in Chinese, English, and Arabic across all phases of a construction project, enabling seamless communication between the Chinese project team, Saudi clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Interpretation & Meetings

• Deliver accurate consecutive interpretation for project meetings, technical communications, and business negotiations.
• Provide interpretation during site inspections, official submissions, and client receptions.
• Ensure smooth and precise information delivery across all spoken communications.

Document Translation & Technical Content

• Conduct written translation and proofreading for engineering drawings and technical proposals.
• Translate contracts, official letters, and meeting minutes.
• Translate bidding documents and government notices.
• Maintain standardized document filing and organization.

Stakeholder Coordination & Support

• Assist with daily internal and external communication.
• Coordinate with local partners and government departments.
• Facilitate project submission, inspection, and approval procedures.
• Support the Chinese project team, Saudi clients, local authorities, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Project Documentation Management

• Follow up on full-cycle project translation work.
• Organize and update translation records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Fluent in Chinese, English, and Arabic (trilingual requirement).
